Different theme programs can be compiled with the “Martin Pêcheur” including: special programs for amateur and / or professional ornithologists, photo safaris, discovery of the animal and biological life of the biosphere reserve.
Depending on the water level and the weather conditions, (certain) excursions may be changed or canceled. This decision is made on the spot by the sailing staff.
DAY 1 : MONDAY: BRUSSELS - DONAU DELTA
Arrival in Bucharest with Blue Air flight. A hot meal is served on board. Welcome by the local representative and transfer to Murghiol (+/- 300km) followed by a transfer by boat to the village of Uzlina situated in the Sf.Gheorghe arm of the Danube Delta. Dinner and stay on the boat.
DAY 2 : TUESDAY: 5 HOURS
After breakfast, route to Sf. Gheorghe, the fishing village located on the easternmost point of Romania between the Danube and the Black Sea. The region is loved by a large and very diverse number of bird species that find their food there: herons, cormorants, rollers, pelicans, ducks etc.
Lunch and excursion on foot along the canal in the direction of Sulina to observe the birds in the swamps. Back to the boat and dinner.
DAY 3 : WEDNESDAY: 2 HOURS
Breakfast and navigation to the island of Sacalin, nature reserve classified by UNESCO under the strict protection regime, and located on the Black Sea. Lunch and visit to a village inhabited by people of Ukrainian descent. Back to the boat and dinner.
DAY 4 : THURSDAY: 8 AM SAILING
After breakfast we leave for the Dunavat Channel, which makes the connection between the Sf. Gheorghe arm of the Danube and the Razelm Canal. Small boat ride on the Erenciuc Lake. With its deep waters, this lake has little trouble with currents and therefore houses a unique underwater world.
This is the reason that many pelicans have found their quiet home there. Lunch and navigation to the Dunavat Channel towards the evening. The boat will be anchored there after which dinner will be served.
DAY 5 : FRIDAY: 6 hours of sailing
After breakfast, the artificially constructed Perisor Channel is reached. This connects the delta with the sea. Discovery on foot of the beautiful beach free from any pollution and which extends from the canal. Boat trip to Zatoane, a swampy area at the end of the Perisor Channel near the Black Sea. Lunch and visit to the areas around the Perisor Canal full of water lilies, and other plants and shellfish. The boat returns to the Dunavat Channel where it will be anchored and dinner will be served.
DAY 6 : SATURDAY: 6 hours of sailing
After breakfast, depart with small motor boats towards the Perivolovca Channel located on the north side of the Sfantu Gheorghe arm of the Danube. From here we will sail over the 3 lakes: Taranova, Gorgostel and Dubcova. All very loved by the birds that love shallow, nutrient-rich waters,
Back to the "Martin Pêcheur" and lunch on board after which we will arrive in the village of Uzlina. The boat will be anchored here, followed by dinner.
DAY 7 : SUNDAY: DONAU DELTA - BUCHAREST - BRUSSELS
Breakfast, transfer by motor boat to Murghiol, followed by the transfer to the airport of Bucharest (300 km). Flight Bucharest - Brussels. A hot meal will be served on board. Return to Brussels.

The navigation of the boat is planned from 8 participants and depends on the Danube current and weather conditions. Excursions can be changed or canceled. The decision is made by the captain of the boat.

Floating hotel "Le Martin Pêcheur"
Navigating in the wilderness, "Le Martin Pêcheur" is a well-designed and comfortable floating hotel. It consists of 8 cabins with two beds, each with a shower and toilet.
The dining room also serves as a common room. The high bridge provides a wide panoramic view. The restaurant serves local specialties based on fish and local products, as well as international dishes. A special menu must be communicated when booking or at least a week before departure!
Region : Danube Delta
As a true wild paradise, the Danube Delta is a labyrinth of canals, marshes, lakes, sand dunes and incredible expanses of reeds. A luxuriant, wild vegetation and a unique fauna live this region rich in water and earth. The environment is very lively, the sky is streaked with cross paths of pelicans, swans, cormorants, shelducks, egrets, white-tailed eagles. In the waters you can see bream, sturgeon, perch, pike and carp. In the reeds live turtles, snakes, vipers, beavers, foxes, nutria, boars, badgers…
